Harbour Happenings – Jazz Fest

One of the reasons our ferry captains love their job is making friends with our passengers and the people we see almost everyday around the harbour. A very kind note came into the office this week regarding Kathleen Robertson – she is 88 and delights in her walks around the Gorge Waterway, and always has a smile and wave for the Ferry boats. Although she is recovering from a foot ailment she insisted the other day of walking the full route to the water…

Harbour Happenings – Bikes on a Barge?

With the weather promising to be almost summer like, this weekend would be a perfect time to enjoy the Jumpship event, and all the other markets, and shows in and around the harbour. Victoria Harbour Ferries and the H2O Taxi service will be running a full schedule – and don’t forget the Water Ballet on Sunday at 10:45 am!

There is so much happening around Victoria’s Harbour the 1st week of June it would be impossible to list everything – but first, and importantly, the weather promises to be fantastic! The folks at Environment Canada are calling for sun, 23 degrees and light winds from Saturday to Monday, so this weekend is perfect for a trip around the harbour.
