Victoria is known for a fantastic and eclectic music scene. We are blessed with a renowned Jazz Festival, an annual Baroque Festival, Opera, Symphony, choirs and concerts from Rock, to Blues, to Country year round. Now Victoria is hosting the first ever Buskers Festival from July 15th to 24th.
From July 15th to July 24th, 2011, we are presenting one of the world’s most unique festivals! We will feature a range of performers from around the world on event stages along our downtown Inner Harbour and in Bastion Square. Additional daily lunch time stage performances will also be presented at the Bay Centre.

Bastion Square Public Market 2011
THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAYS
From April to the end of September Bastion Square is transformed into a colourful and eclectic European-style, Artisans Showcase and Open-Air Marketplace, with vendors selling original paintings and prints, stained glass, multi-media jewelry, woodwork, pottery, herbal soaps, clothing and accessories, and so much more. Many artisans demonstrate their work on site. Visitors also enjoy entertainment with busking musicians and traveling entertainers.
Ship Point Night Market
The Night Market’s electric mixture of vendors and entertainment takes place on the upland section of Ship Point. This season, close to 40 vendors will be selling their wares on the pier that stretches out into the Inner Harbour.
Ship Point’s Night Market is a staple of Victoria summer evenings. A few steps from the streets of downtown, the market showcases original art created and sold by the artists. High quality handcrafted works are available. Live music keeps the evening gently rolling.
4th Annual Ballet under the Stars
The Canadian Pacific Ballet presents the 4th annual Ballet under the Stars in Market Square. This eclectic summer dance event begins July 19th and runs Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 8PM through August 24th. The 1½ hour program, performed by acclaimed professional dancers, has selections from great classical ballets as well as new works choreographed especially for this outdoor event.
